The final issue of DC’s Doomsday Clock claims The Incredible Hulk is stronger than Doomsday.
The final issues of Geoff John’s and Gary Frank’s Doomsday Clock, a sequel to Alan Moore’s Watchmen graphic novel, revealed that a “Secret Crisis” will arrive in the year 2030 that will find Superman facing off against the Avengers, including Thor and the Hulk. The Doomsday Clock revelation comes during a conflict between Superman and Doctor Manhattan after the later realizes there is more to Superman that he believed.
After a re-evaluation of himself, Doctor Manhattan moves through DC’s history to undo some of the damage he did to the timeline and through his ability to see all of time at once, details key events that will unfold, including the aforementioned meeting between Superman and the Hulk. During his narration, Doctor Manhattan refers to a “green behemoth” who is likely the Hulk and refers the being as something even more powerful Doomsday, the infamous creature that is best known for having killed Superman:
“In the year 2020, Superman’s timeline is bombarded by the reckless energies of the old gods, once again warping the metaverse. It’s July 2nd, 2025. A Crisis unlike any the metaverse has seen, one they will call ‘Time Masters,’ erupts…but in its wake, Superman is revitalized….It is January 2026. The timeline is restored…and Earth-5G is born. It is June 17, 2026. Superman goes on a quest to find Bruce Wayne’s lost daughter…so she can save Bruce’s son. On July 10, 2030, the ‘Secret Crisis’ begins, throwing Superman into a brawl across the universe with Thor himself…and a green behemoth stronger than even Doomsday, who dies protecting Superman from these invaders.”
