DreamWorks Drops ‘She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power’ Teaser Trailer

She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power

“Balance must be restored. You do not yet realize the power you have.”

Am I not making any sense? Well, maybe that’s because I just threw out a random sentence without context. But this is, in fact, a line from the upcoming “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” series from Dreamworks that will be hitting Netflix in a few months. In this teaser trailer for the Netflix series, we hear a voice calling out to a confused Adora, voiced by Aimee Carrero, that she has great potential, but the time has come for her to realize her destiny.

Naturally, like anyone who hears a voice talking to them out of nowhere, doesn’t understand, but the voice assures Adora that she will. From there, after we see She-Ra reaching out to and ultimately grabbing a sacred blade, she undergoes a transformation not unlike what you’d expect from the likes of He-Man or Sailor Moon.

And after She-Ra is fully fitted with her armor and blade, she raises it towards the skies and declares “For the honor of Grayskull!” Here, have a look at the teaser trailer for the Dreamworks series in the video below.

And cue title. In the same way that the 2011 Thundercats reboot had a lot of nods and references to the original 1985 cartoon, She-Ra looks to also be paying homage to the series that came before it. What are your hopes and expectations for the series? Let us know in the comments below.

Dreamworks’ “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” will feature voice work from Aimee Carrero, Marcus Scribner, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Reshma Shetty, Lorraine Toussaint, Keston John, Lauren Ash, Christine Woods, Genesis Rodriguez, Jordan Fisher, Vella Lovell, Merit Leighton, Sandra Oh, Krystal Joy Brown, and Grey Griffin.

The series will hit Netflix on November 16, 2018.
