Dwayne Johnson To Begin Filming ‘Black Adam’ In April

Say the word, jabroni.

Dwayne Johnson will begin filming Black Adam this April.

Dwayne Johnson has been ready to play Black Adam for a very long time. The actor has been cast in the role for almost a decade and now it seems that we’re finally gonna get to see him suit up. In a new interview with Comicbook’s Brandon Davis, Seven Bucks Productions President of Production Hiram Garcia revealed when Dwayne Johnson will begin shooting Black Adam.

We’re getting started soon, you know actually, we begin filming in April, we’ll be in Georgia, home away from home. We’re really excited man, we have everything is ramped up, we’re so fired up for this.

In the meantime, fans can still re-watch the original Shazam! film on all home media formats:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Hounsou.

Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Black Adam is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2021.
