Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson shared an incredible first look at his version of the anti-hero just shortly before the film’s DC FanDome panel.
Just before DC FanDome started, Dwayne Johnson found the perfect way of getting fans ready for Black Adam by revealing the first full look at the character. Johnson will be joined by To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, but there’s been no word what his costume will look like when the film eventually arrives in theaters. Production on the film has reportedly been delayed until 2021, but at least we know what they’re aiming for with the character’s design.
Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson revealed the first look at the character on Instagram shortly before DC FanDome, which goes for an armoured look rather than the sleek red spandex design of his heroic counter-part, Shazam. It’s clearly an intricately designed costume, with plenty of pieces fitting together to give the ruler of Kahndaq a truly impressive battle suit. While the art doesn’t show off what Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will get up to, it still gives fans a good idea of what to expect from the film. Take a look below.
What do you think of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam? What do you make of his costume? Sound-off in the comments section! What are you most excited to see from DC FanDome?
Here is the synopsis for the first Shazam! movie:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam and DC FanDome as we learn it. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
