Black Adam v Superman anyone?

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson has teased how he envisions his anti-hero meeting Henry Cavill’s Superman.

One of the most anticipated movies coming out of the DC pipeline is Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. Nearly a decade in the making, filming wrapped up earlier this year, and the project is currently set to hit cinemas later next year. While details on the project are slim, fans are hoping to see one of two things in the film, if not teased: Black Adam taking on Zachary Levi’s Shazam! and/or Henry Cavill’s Superman.

Dwayne Johnson himself has previously expressed interest in seeing Black Adam duke it out with Superman, and we now know just how he envisions their meeting – kind of. After a fan tweeted at Johnson with a comic page showing Black Adam and Superman meeting, Johnson revealed that the panel’s the fan sent were somewhat similar to what he had in mind.

Henry Cavill’s future as Superman in the DC Extended Universe looks uncertain, though the star expressed interest in returning to the character as early as yesterday. Perhaps a Man of Steel sequel is way past due, but a Black Adam and Superman crossover would more than suffice as a proper send-off for the Son of Krypton.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, the film stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles. Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming Dwayne Johnson film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
