Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham Take A Leap In New ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ Clip

Dwayne Johnson takes the hard way as Jason Statham takes the sensible way as the two take a leap in a new clip from Hobbs & Shaw.

Much like another clip that was released today, this new one sadly does not show us a whole lot more then what we saw in the film’s first trailer. It shows the skyscraper bit where Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s characters pursue Idris Elba’s Brixton. The clip, however, does show a few more details and plays out a bit more like a scene as opposed to cut bits fro a trailer. It most notably includes Jason Statham actually looking at the elevator he eventually goes down with an explanation as to why he did this with an extra degree of pettiness towards Dwayne Johnson’s character.

You can see the full clip of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham taking a leap in the Hobbs & Shaw clip below:

From the look of things, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s characters are going to have some bonding to do before they fully get along in Hobbs & Shaw!

What do you all make of this? Are you looking forward to more hostile buddy cop action between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in Hobbs & Shaw? Was that already played out in Fate of the Furious? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Hobbs & Shaw is being directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2) from a script written by franchise veteran Chris Morgan. Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Seven Bucks Productions’ Hiram Garcia are producing the film.

Here is the synopsis for Hobbs & Shaw:

A spinoff of The Fate of the Furious, focusing on Johnson’s US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs forming an unlikely alliance with Statham’s Deckard Shaw.

The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vanessa Kirby, Eddie Marsan, Eiza Gonzalez and Idris Elba.

Hobbs & Shaw will hit theaters August 2, 2019.
