According to new tracking numbers, Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji: The Next Level is projected to earn between $40 million to $50 million in its opening weekend.

Dwayne Johnson and the rest of the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle are set to return for the next entry in the franchise, The Next Level, due to hit theaters tomorrow. Now, The Hollywood Reporter has shared new tracking numbers that indicate Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji: The Next Level will debut in the range of $40-$50 million.

However, Sony is reportedly projecting a more conservative $35 million opening weekend gross for Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji: The Next Level. Should the outside projections prove to be correct, Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji: The Next Level would surpass the $36 million opening weekend gross of Welcome to the Jungle, which went on the earn a worldwide total of $962.1 million.

In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.

Jumanji: The Next Level will be released in theaters on December 13, 2019.
