A new report has revealed that Dwayne Johnson shut down a Shazam cameo in the Black Adam movie.

According to TheWrap, Dwayne Johnson vetoed a Black Adam post-credits scene that would have seen Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman and the rest of the Justice Society of America recruiting Zachary Levi’s Shazam. A version of this scene was used in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, but it didn’t include the Black Adam characters due to Johnson.

This past weekend, Shazam! Fury of the Gods failed to live up to its expectations with a disappointing global debut of $65.5 million. Despite opening at number one in North America, Fury of the Gods only managed to generate $30.5 million from 4,071 theaters.

In addition to Shazam! Fury of the GodsThe FlashBlue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are also currently in various stages of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery, with all four DC Universe movies set to hit theaters this year. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DC Universe? Only newly-named DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran Safran know.
