Dwayne Johnson And Vin Diesel End Feud, Both Committed To ‘Furious 9’

Fast And Furious Dwayne Johnson Vin Diesel

After reports of an on-set feud between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mark “Vin Diesel” Sinclair plagued the production of the latest Fast & Furious movie, both stars have apparently buried the hatchet and will be returning in the ninth movie in the long-running racing franchise.

TMZ reports that the clash of egos between the two actors have apparently been resolved and that neither are going to leave the franchise. The specifics are as follows:

Our sources say Vin and Dwayne have met privately several times since animosity between them exploded on the set of The Fate of the Furious. We’re told they are “good” and both are “1000% in” for the next flick.

The cause of the feud may surprise you – real estate. Apparently, the Rock’s accommodations were so great that a rather proud Diesel (who had similarly great accommodations) got anxious about who the real star of the franchise was at that point, reportedly leading to him acting more hostile on-set than he has with previous projects. Diesel ultimately got his way and retained top billing. One thing the dispute was not about, per TMZ’s sources, was money – both actors are good with the massive paychecks they cash in with every one of the movies they make together. There’s no word on if the two characters will continue to star in the planned tenth film, but if production goes smoothly on the next movie goes well, then it should be a given, as both action stars are pretty large box office draws in their own right.

The Fate of the Furious has currently taken the lead in theaters. Fast and Furious 9 is currently racing toward an April 19, 2019 release date, while Fast and Furious 10 will trail it shortly afterward with an April 2, 2021 release.
