Eddie Brock Embraces The Symbiote In New ‘Venom’ TV Spot

Sony Venom Tom Hardy Eddie Brock TV Spot

That power. It’s not completely awful. So said Eddie Brock in one of the previous trailers for Venom. And indeed, when you’ve got an alien symbiote that bonds with you and gives you incredible powers, you tend to be pretty happy with your newfound abilities. But, at the same time, you may wonder how and why this strange organism can do these things. Such is the case with a new TV spot for the Venom film.

In the Venom spot, we see Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock, still coming to terms with the symbiote, noting that it gives him great powers — not necessarily great responsibility, though. In fact, it makes him faster, stronger, and an overall menace. And with it, he uses these abilities to fight bad people. With Eddie Brock and the symbiote seemingly on one accord, this is, according to the symbiote, the beginning of a terrible friendship.

It’s ultimately not much to go off because aside from the few seconds of new footage, you’ve seen and heard a lot of this before in earlier trailers. Still, the new glimpses are noteworthy. Have a look for yourself in the new Venom spot below:

What are your thoughts on the spot? Admittedly, with the film hitting theaters, you may want to avoid as many spots and trailers as possible to go in as blind as you can and not have any potential scenes spoiled for your viewing experience. Are you avoiding clips from Venom? And are you looking forward to the film? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and come back when you’ve seen the film to let us know what you thought about it.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson. The film swings into theaters this weekend.
