Elizabeth Olsen was in France this past week doing promotion for her upcoming film as well as to receive an honor at the Deauville Film Festival. So, of course while being interviewed she’d receive a few questions about her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her appearance in next year’s highly-anticipated ‘Captain America: Civil War’. They asked the actress about playing the Scarlet Witch and what it was like being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Olsen replied:
“She’s someone who’s more powerful than she’s able to control and she ends up going insane because of it. And she’s like a wildcard. You never know [if] she’s a hero or a villain and that’s a very fun part. Being part of a Marvel movie makes me feel like I’m doing the most top secret thing in the world. It’s ridiculous because it’s a film, but also it’s too bad when people want to spoil things about movies or paparazzi are on set taking pictures of certain things. And everyone then gets to guess what it is that you’re filming. And it ruins it for everyone. I was just so happen that in Avengers [Age of Ultron] we were able to keep a lot of things secret so there were surprises for the audience which is great.”
When asked about next year’s Captain America: Civil War, Elizabeth Olsen stated:
“I think it’s going to be the best one.For real, I am like very excited to see it myself. I only worked on set for five weeks, so I wasn’t there for the majority of it.”
Elizabeth Olsen then went on to praise actor Daniel Brühl, who will portraying the villain Baron Zemo in the film.
