Elizabeth Olsen Was Uncomfortable Filming ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

While the actress has grown into the role, it appears Elizabeth Olsen wasn't comfortable while filming 2015's 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron'.

The upcoming Avengers: Infinity War will mark Elizabeth Olsen’s fourth appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch. While the actress has grown into the role, it appears that she wasn’t exactly comfortable filming her first full appearance as the character in 2015’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Speaking with Yahoo! Movies, Elizabeth Olsen commented on the matter and how she feels much more comfortable now that she’s had some time with the character.

“This is my favorite arc, my favorite character arc. Ultron was really fun because I got to be with Aaron [Taylor-Johnson] and that was also a large story, and twist, but now I feel more confident and comfortable on set. [Age of Ultron] was not comfortable, and now that it’s third time around, and fourth time around, or whatever the number is, there’s an ease to it now that we’ve lived with these characters a little more. Now that we’ve decided what our relationships are with each person, it’s already established, it’s in development and it just gets better.”

Her co-star Paul Bettany, who plays The Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, agreed with Elizabeth Olsen on the matter and was fully aware of the scale of Avengers: Infinity War while they were filming.

“This film didn’t feel like any other film that I’d made. Usually, films, film sets, feel very similar and this didn’t. You were aware of how enormous it was the whole time.”

Just how enormous? We’ll find out in a little over a week. Let us know your thoughts on Olsen & Bettany’s comments in the section below.
