Elizabeth Olsen recently talked about Scarlet Witch’s fate in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and what’s next for her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It’s revealed early on in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is the one responsible for hunting down America Chavez to harness her powers to access the multiverse. This leads to another civil war of sorts between Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange.
Scarlet Witch’s fate in the sequel is left open-ended after she destroys the Darkhold. In an interview with Harper’s Bazar, Olsen revealed that a few different versions were considered for the film:
“There’s a couple different versions of what could happen at the end of this film. Mostly, I want to hear what the fans who know her best, what they would like to see from her next.”
As for what the future holds for Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Olsen had this to say:
“I think Wanda’s always around the corner, so I don’t feel bad saying goodbye to her.”
