Stephen Amell shared some new images of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) from the upcoming Elseworlds event coming to The CW.
The upcoming Arrowverse event titled Elseworlds is almost here and in celebration, Arrow star Stephen Amell held a personal viewing party of the episode from the comfort of his home. In the highly anticipated crossover, Amell will lose his iconic Green Arrow costume in favor of The Flash’s suit. That’s not the only surprises that Elseworlds has in store for fans though.
Superman and Supergirl will also be getting significant updates in the Elseworlds event. As you can see in the photo above, Benoist’s Supergirl will be donning the character’s iconic blonde hair from the comics. Superman, on the other hand, will be getting an update in the form of a silver and black suit. Amell shared some new photos of the characters via his Twitter account. The characters of The CW have gone through some major changes over the years but the Elseworlds event looks to be the most unique representation of these characters yet. That’s not the only major change coming to the Arrowverse, Jon Cryer has recently been cast as Lex Luthor and will debut on Supergirl. According to director Kevin Smith, the series will put a dark turn on the iconic Superman foil upon his arrival.

The 2018 Arrowverse crossover starts with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9 and continues with Arrow on Monday, December 10. The three-night event concludes with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. All three entries will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on their respective nights.
