A video from the set of Marvel’s Secret Invasion shows Emilia Clarke’s mysterious character in a brawl.
Marvel Studios is continuing to produce content for Disney Plus. The latest series they have in production is Secret Invasion, which is influenced by the iconic comic run of the same name. While it’s unclear how much the series will draw from the source material, it’s expected that the Disney Plus show will showcase how Skrulls have infiltrated all aspects of human life, including high-level positions that heavily influence key political decisions.
The series will see Samuel L. Jackson returning as Nick Fury, though it remains to be seen if he will be a Skrull as depicted in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Joining the Marvel veteran for the Disney Plus series is Emilia Clarke, who will be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. Details are mum on who the Game of Thrones star is playing, though rumors have indicated that she will be the series’ main player.
A recent video from the set of Secret Invasion shows Emilia Clarke in a brawl with a person in a motion-capture suit, implying that the final product will show her taking on a CG character. In the short clip, Emilia Clarke’s character can be seen being choked as she fights for her life, proving the unknown CG character will be a worthy foe.
Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion is expected to premiere exclusively on Disney Plus in late 2022. Meanwhile, here is the synopsis for the upcoming MCU Disney Plus series, Moon Knight:
“A new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt.”
Written by Jeremy Slater the series stars Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight and Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow. The series was directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige serving as an Executive Producer on the MCU series.
