Emilia Clarke Shares ‘Han Solo’ Set Video With Chewbacca

Han Solo Ron Howard Emilia Clarke Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and director Ron Howard have taken to social media to share a new look at the set of the upcoming Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story.

While the role of newcomer Clarke has gone on record to say the secrecy shrouding the Lucasfilm production is even scarier than the level of secrecy surrounding Game of Thrones, the actress is certainly having fun on set as she has revealed herself having fun with Joonas Suotoma fully suited up as Chewbacca. As for Clarke’s role itself, her character remains a mystery.

In addition, Howard has offered fans a look at a new set featuring a creature as he and cinematographer Bradford Young (Arrival, A Most Violent Year) work out a shot before shooting the scene.

The Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story has been written by Lawrence Kasdan and son Jon Kasdan. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo along with Joonas Suotomo as Chewbacca and Donald Glover as the young Lando Calrissian. The cast also includes Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Michael K. Williams, and Ian Kenny. How to Train Your Dragon composer John Powell will be providing the score.

The Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story is currently slated for release on May 25, 2018.
