Emilia Clarke is about to make her MCU debut with Secret Invasion and she hopes the Disney Plus series is just the start of it.
Outside of Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke has joined Star Wars and now finds herself part of the MCU. Clarke will show up in Disney Plus’ Secret Invasion series that is expected to begin filming this year.
Like most Marvel projects, there are no details on Emilia Clarke’s character yet. However, Clarke told The Hollywood Reporter that she hopes Secret Invasion isn’t all that in store for her character in the MCU when asked about doing more:
“I mean, I should be so lucky is what I’ll say to that. Everyone I know and everyone I’ve spoken to who is a part of the Marvel universe — and actors talk! Everyone has only the highest praise to offer. There’s a reason why actors stay in it. They’re so loved because they’re having loads of fun. So I’m down for that.”
Who do you suspect Emilia Clarke is playing? Speculate in the comments below!
Marvel’s Secret Invasion will star Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. It will also feature Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo.
Here is the official synopsis for Marvel Studios’ newest series on Disney Plus, Loki:
“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
Directed by Kate Herron with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
New episodes of Loki hit Disney Plus every Wednesday.
