New photos show Emilia Clarke returning to the set of Secret Invasion for reshoots on Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus series.
It is not yet known who Emilia Clarke will be playing in the new Marvel series, which centers on a Skrull infiltration of Earth. The series will see her appearing alongside the likes of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Don Cheadle’s Rhodey, Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos.
Clarke was seen joining reshoots taking place in London, which was apparently doubling for a Russian location judging by the set dressing.
Who Is Emilia Clarke Playing In Secret Invasion?
Fans have been left in the dark as to who Emilia Clarke could be playing in Secret Invasion and whether she has been cast as an existing Marvel character or an original character for the Disney Plus series.
While details of Clarke’s role remain a closely guarded secret, new photos show her donning a leather jacket for the sequences apparently taking place in Russia. The photos show Russian text on buildings and vehicles, as well as inflatable Russian dolls in the street.

The images also show a few other actors on set in long coats, looking particularly menacing. The series will mark the first time Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury has been seen since 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, when he was shown on a space station working with a Skrull team. Presumably the Skrulls appearing in Secret Invasion are not Fury’s allies.

“Secret Invasion” is a newly announced series heading to Disney+ that stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos—characters who first met in “Captain Marvel.” The crossover event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
The series is created by Kyle Bradstreet and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Don Cheadle, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo.
