Emma Roberts has revealed new details about her Madame Web character.
During a recent interview on the Shut Up Evan Podcast, Emma Roberts opened up about her role in the Madame Web movie. Roberts told host Evan Ross Katz that her Madame Web character does is “not a superhero” and won’t have powers.
“What I can tell you is I’m not a superhero,” Roberts said during her podcast appearance.” Some people may think she’s a superhero but not… like I don’t have supernatural powers. So I can tell you that.”
The Madame Web actress then added the following: “It’s really different from any of the other Marvel movies, it’s super grounded. I love that it has so many great actresses, it’s really female-driven, and I just think it’s not going to be what people expect.”
While details regarding the Madame Web movie are being kept under lock and key, Emma Roberts is rumored to be playing Mary Parker. In the pages of Marvel Comics, the character is the mother of Peter Parker, a.k.a Spider-Man.

Madame Web is an upcoming superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, who made her first appearance in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #210. The movie is being directed by S.J. Clarkson, a British television director who has previously worked on episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Marvel’s Defenders.
The Madame Web movie is expected to explore the origin story of the titular character and her first journey in the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters. Its cast also includes Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Adam Scott and Zosia Mamet.
