Eternals producer Nate Moore says Marvel Studios could potentially release the documentary footage shot by Kingo’s valet Karun.

One of the standouts stars from Eternals surprisingly wasn’t a super-powered cosmic being sent to Earth, it was Karun. Played by Bollywood icon Harish Patel, Karun appeared as Kingo’s valet. Kingo and Karun have worked together for over five decades, making them practically inseparable. Unlike the rest of his Bollywood buddies, the loyal Karun was privy of Kingo’s Eternals status.

After the “band gets back together”, Kingo instructs Karun to document his various interactions with his old buddies. One of the most hilarious b-plots in the entire film, Karun tries his best to navigate the action-packed and tense moments the Eternals have found themselves in as his cameras continually break.

In a chat with the Phase Zero podcast, Eternals producer revealed that Marvel Studios could very well release Karun’s archival footage down the road.

“By the way, we’ve talked about it. Because there is footage and we were shooting a lot of stuff on a video camera on set, just to have it. And Harish Patel who is fantastic, he had an actual working prop camera. So, he would just be rolling on scenes. We didn’t always ask him to, he is like, ‘What? That’s what I’m doing.’ There is quite a bit. I’m sure is somewhere there is an actual full Kingo documentary we could put together.”

Here is the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ Eternals:

“The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”

Chloe Zhao directed Eternals from a script she co-wrote with Patrick Burleigh, Kaz Firpo, and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek as Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Eternals is now in theaters. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
