WandaVision star Teyonah Parris revealed that different names were considered for Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner in the series.
Although WandaVision really surprised Marvel fans with how weird things got as Scarlet Witch changed reality, one of the things that didn’t quite stick the landing for some audiences was the moment where Evan Peters’ Quicksilver was revealed to simply be an actor called Ralph Bohner. While WandaVision writer Jac Schaeffer previously explained that she hopes no one felt tricked by the reveal, Teyonah Parris recently explained that Ralph Bohner wasn’t the only name considered for Evan Peters’ real character.
When speaking to Collider, Monica Rambeau actor Teyonah Parris revealed that there were different names considered instead of Ralph Bohner. Unfortunately, she can’t remember what they were, but none topped Bohner according to the star. Evan Peters even revealed that he didn’t know about Ralph’s last name being Bohner until he filmed the WandaVision scene.
“Even on the day there was another option. I might have said it for the camera. They’re like, ‘Just throw this in, just in case,’ but I can’t remember what it was. None topped Bohner, I’ll tell you that. That was very like, ‘Okay! We’re going for the Bohner!'”
