Ezra Miller has revealed that he’s still The Flash and that the movie is confirmed to be on its way.

Ezra Miller has a ton of controversy surrounding his role as The Flash. Warner Bros. hasn’t had a ton of luck keeping a director for the movie as every director that signed on has dropped out from the project. Most recently, reports from Variety revealed that Game Night directors Jonathan Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein dropped out and IT director Andy Muschietti had signed on to take the reigns of The Flash.

Fans of the DC Extended Universe were worried that with Ezra Miller’s contract reportedly being up that the actor would not return in the role. Ezra Miller even recruited legendary comic book writer Grant Morrison in an attempt to keep The Flash role. In Variety’s report, they state that the actor is set to return, but we haven’t heard anything concrete until now.

In a new interview with W magazine Korea, Ezra Miller revealed all of his upcoming projects that are confirmed, including DC Films’ The Flash movie.

“Well, I’ll tell you the ones that I can tell you about because they’re absolutely confirmed are Fantastic Beasts 3, The Flash movie, I’m making more music with Sons of an Illustrious Father — the band I’m in — and I’m also making some music on my own which will be sort of a new project, a solo project.”

Creative differences have long plagued The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller. While the project finally seemed to be gaining some momentum with John Frances Daily and Jonathan Goldstein on board, Ezra Miller, who was initially cast as the character in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman, began clashing with the directing duo who favored a lighter take rather than the darker vision the actor had for the character. After months of compromising with each other, the directors who were brought on thanks to their success with the hit film Game Night opted to bow out entirely. Now, Andy Muscietti is in talks to direct the movie from a new script by Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson.

Ezra Miller was last seen as The Flash in Justice League. Directed by Zack Snyder, with post-production duties handled by Joss Whedon, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Meanwhile, Andy Muschietti’s next film, IT: Chapter Two, hits theaters on September 6, 2019.
