Ezra Miller has quite a bit of geek cred. On top of being one of the finest young actors of his generation, Miller has been given the opportunity of a lifetime to be part of not one, but two major franchises. He has the privilege of playing Barry Allen/The Flash in the DC Extended Universe, and he also gets to take part in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World in the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as the character Credence Barebone – a character whose significance in the story remains shrouded in mystery.

Miller has been quite passionate about his roles in DC and Rowling’s Wizarding World, simply just geeking out about being part of it all. While promoting these upcoming projects, he has shown nothing but enthusiasm, and this special EW video is no different. Here, we see the die-hard Harry Potter fan give a brief lesson on Wizarding History.

As a fellow Harry Potter fan, I couldn’t help but geek out with Ezra Miller about Wizarding history. Also, him discussing the timeline in which Fantastic Beasts takes place should be an indicator of where the narrative lies. We hear hints about Gellert Grindlewald and his attacks that lead to his rise to power, which inevitably leads to his famous duel with Albus Dumbledore. Because WB and Rowling have announced that Fantastic Beasts will consist of 5 films, it is possible that we may see this duel on the big screen.

I, along with “obsessive Harry Potter nerd” Ezra Miller are both freaking out about these details, and to see this era before Harry’s story is exciting. Let’s hope Miller gives as passionate of a performance in the actual film as he showcases promoting his new projects.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters on November 18.
