New details about the incident involving The Flash star Ezra Miller at a bar in Iceland offer a wider perspective of the event.
While The Flash star Ezra Miller is currently not under investigation for apparently choking a woman at a bar in Iceland, new details from the event offer a wider explanation about the incident. By now, most fans will have likely seen the footage of the star seemingly grabbing a woman by the throat and throwing her to the ground, but Miller might’ve been provoked according to a new report from Variety.
The report mentions that a source at Prikið Kaffihús, the bar that the altercation took place, saw a group of eager fans confront Miller and that they were “quite pushy.” The situation then apparently escalated, but it isn’t quite clear how. The star then lost his temper at one woman involved, which led to him grabbing her by the throat as seen in the footage. Although this doesn’t excuse Miller for the violent outburst, it at least provides a reason behind the viral clip.

Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie was on track to begin production next month, but its start date will likely be delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint storyline. For those unaware, the Flashpoint comic book storyline followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.
The Flash is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 1, 2022.
