Hodson was also hired to write the script for DC’s Batgirl project.

Creative differences have long plagued The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller. While the project finally seemed to be gaining some momentum with John Frances Daily and Jonathan Goldstein on board, Ezra Miller, who was initially cast as the character in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman began clashing with the directing duo who favored a lighter take rather than the darker vision Ezra Miller had for the character. After months of compromising with each other, the directors who were brought on thanks to their success with the hit film Game Night opted to bow out entirely.
Warner Bros. will now be continuing the trend of bringing over their successful horror directors to the DCEU. First with James Wan’s Aquaman, and David F. Sandberg’s Shazam!, it appears Andy Muschietti will indeed helm The Flash film starring Ezra Miller. Muschietti seemingly confirmed he’ll direct the film recently but first he’ll conclude the IT franchise with IT: Chapter Two this September.
