A new report from the Atlanta set of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier suggests that the villain-turned-hero Songbird has a role in the upcoming series.
Although it’s going to be some time before The Falcon and The Winter Soldier eventually arrives on Disney Plus, a new set report reveals who Erin Kellyman might be playing the in the show. The news comes soon after a new look at Anthony Mackie’s costume was revealed online by the star himself as well as Georges St-Pierre returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Batroc the Leaper.
According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Georges St-Pierre was spotted in a scene with Erin Kellyman, whose character used a bizarre power to control all the surrounding civillians to draw them close. Apparently in the context of the scene this was done to impress Batroc. The outlet suggested that the mind-control ability seems to line-up with Songbird (also known as Screaming Mimi when she started out as a villain). The hero was a part of the Thunderbolts team after she left the Masters of Evil in the comics. Murphy’s Multiverse previously revealed a set photo of a woman with a bright pink mohawk, similar to the Songbird’s striking look. But since Kellyman hasn’t been seen sporting the look it’s not clear if that person was just a member of the crew. Take a look at the description of the scene teasing Erin Kellyman as Songbird below.
“Georges was filming in a park standing with Desmond by a bench, while Erin sat between them on the back of the bench with her feet on the seat. He could not hear any dialogue but said that Erin’s character used some kind of power, unclear how, to impress the two. The power involved extras near them in a field stopping, simultaneously looking at the phones, looking up, and all walking towards them in a group and as if in a trance.”
What do you make of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier set report? Do you want to see Erin Kellyman as Songbird in the MCU? Does this mean the Thunderbolts are on the way? Sound-off in the comments!
