‘The Fate Of The Furious’ Trailer Sets New Record For Most Views In 24 Hours

The Fate Of The FuriousThe first trailer for the eighth installment in Universal’s Fast and Furious franchise made its debut on Sunday and quickly started trending across various social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Now, the numbers are in, and Deadline reports that the Fate of the Furious trailer has set a brand new record for most views in 24 hours.

According to the trade, the Fast 8 trailer was watched 139 million times in the first 24 hours of its release, meaning that it has officially broken the record of 127.6 million first-day views that was previously set by Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast.

Directed by F. Gary Gray, Fast 8 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood, Kristofer Hivju and Helen Mirren.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
