It’s a current theme in TV and Film, that comic book properties crossover with each other. But how would Victor Strand react to Negan if Fear The Walking Dead crossed over with the main AMC series?
Colman Domingo, the man behind Victor Strand on Fear The Walking Dead, weighed in on what he thinks would happen if the pair were ever to meet. Strand is a truly formidable ally to the group, proving his worth time and time again. It’s clear that the Fear The Walking Dead character has a ruthless nature embedded deep in his personality, much like Negan. But would they get on, or would they be clear enemies?
“In a strange way, I feel that he would actually get along with him,” Domingo says of Strand and Negan. I think he understands the way his mind operates. The moment Negan walks in and he’s got the power, he knows to mess with minds and he knows exactly what he needs to do to assert his power and to get what he needs. “He’s masterful in that way, and I think he would see him as someone who could be very useful to him. I don’t think he would think of his as a nemesis. I think they would really understand one another, but close cousins, I think. They have the choice to use their power for darkness or for light, but they both understand the power that each other has, I think.”
We can’t deny that the concept of the two meeting isn’t completely captivating. Whilst the producers confirmed that there aren’t any current plans for the two shows to crossover – it doesn’t mean that fans can’t hope to see the group from Fear The Walking Dead to meet Rick and Michonne.
Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 PM ET, whilst ‘The Walking Dead‘ returns October 23rd for it’s seventh season.
