No one is more excited for the release of Star Wars: Rogue One than its star, Felicity Jones. Her character, Jyn Erso, is at the center of this new film and joins a long cinematic lineage of heroes and villains. In a recent ABC News interview, Felicity Jones divulges her all-time favorite Star Wars movie, and it’s no surprise that it’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back– a personal favorite for many Star Wars fans. It’s dark themes along with the edge-of-your-seat action sequences really resonates with fans, then and now. When asked why she took the part of Erso, Jones expressed she is ready to see strong female lead roles thrive in film.
“It was the opportunity to play a kick ass girl. To be running and punching and sort of, you know she’s a real livewire, she’s got real spirit, and it was just a fantastic character to play.”
Hasbro recently revealed the ‘Rogue One’ action figures, which provided a dose of reality for Felicity Jones after one of her family members got a bit too excited with her action figure. “Recently I was showing my nephew, who’s one and a half, and he started pulling the arms off, so it really brings you back down to earth.”
