Felicity Jones On The Success Of ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’

While promoting her new film Collide, Felicity Jones dished on the experience of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the incredible success of the film.

Off the heels of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, actress Felicity Jones is currently starring in the new film Collide which hits theaters today. The film follows her boyfriend (Nicholas Hoult) as he attempts to pull off a drug heist in order to pay for her to receive a kidney transplant.

Jones recently chatted with HeyUGuys while promoting Collide, dishing on her incredible experience starring in Rogue One and joking about future appearances of Jyn Erso:

“It was an extraordinary experience and I couldn’t have hoped for anything better – people seemed to really respond to it. It’s a great thing to be a part of – who knows, maybe Jyn could be reincarnated. You could do anything – maybe she could come back as a hologram!”

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story grossed $1.048 billion at the global box office. The film is now the seventh top grossing film of all time in the United States. Just earlier this week, the home release dates for the Star Wars spin-off were officially announced. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be available on Digital HD March 24 and Blu-ray April 4.

Unfortunately a future appearance of Jyn Erso in a Star Wars film is highly unlikely, however, the character’s backstory will be explored in the upcoming novel Rebel Rising. The novel follows Jyn in her younger years as she was developed into a soldier while in the care of Rebel extremist Saw Gerrera. Rebel Rising hits shelves May 2, 2017.
