Finn Jones hasn’t had much of a break since he began production for the first season of Iron Fist, going straight from his Netflix debut to teaming up with the rest of his co-stars in The Defenders.
During a recent chat with Inverse, the actor behind the fury of the fist revealed he is about to start training for the second season of Iron Fist:
“Now, just gonna let you know, moving into Season 2 of Iron Fist, I’m actually starting my training next week, We’re at least four or five months away from shooting, so this time around, I’m being given a lot more preparation leading up to Season 2, which I think is really gonna have a huge improvement on the quality of the fight scenes in Season 2 of Iron Fist.”
Finn Jones went on to highlight the slight differences between Iron Fist and The Defenders as he shared detail about the two productions:
“Obviously, by the time Defenders came, I’d been working on [Iron Fist] and performing the choreography for nearly six or seven months, so I’d gotten a lot more used to it. Also, we had a new choreography team [for Defenders] and we had a different cameraman. So, the way it was constructed and the way that it was directed and put together was very different.”
Here’s the official synopsis for Defenders:
“Marvel’s The Defenders” follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
The series stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Deborah Ann Woll, Simone Missick, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rachel Taylor, Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Jessica Henwick, Elodie Yung and Sigourney Weaver.
