Firestorm Confirmed For ‘Injustice 2’; First Gameplay Footage Unveiled

'Injustice 2' will officially feature DC Comics' Firestorm as a playable character and the first gameplay footage has been revealed.


Injustice 2, the sequel to the highly successful DC Comics video game, is nearly two months away from release and fans are eager to play as some their favorite heroes and villains. Now, during an interview with Injustice Creative Director Ed Boon, UpUpDownDown has revealed that Firestorm will a playable character in the highly anticipated sequel.

The first gameplay footage from Injustice 2 is also revealed, featuring a showdown between Firestorm and Doctor Fate.

Previously announced characters include: Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Black Canary, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus Damian Wayne a.k.a. Robin, Poison Ivy,Swamp Thing, Cyborg, Darkseid and Brainiac.

Injustice 2 is the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Featuring a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, players can personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. Additionally, for the first time, gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes.

Injustice 2 will be available for both the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system as well as Xbox One on May 16.
