The Flash is promising new twists and villains to fight in season 4. But one thing the series has always focused on is the relationships between the characters. In the upcoming season, Barry and Iris will have their work cut out for them if they are to overcome their issues.
Speaking at the Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey, Candice Patton talked about how the two characters will be going to therapy to try and work through things, but they will be doing so in a comical fashion:
“This season… we’re getting a little more light-hearted and funny. Barry, once he comes back from the Speed Force, Barry and Iris have to go to couples therapy and kind of work through those issues. So there’s some really funny stuff coming up.”
Running up against an evil time remnant version of yourself is something no one should ever have to do, but that’s exactly what faced Barry Allen (aka The Flash) as he fought to save the life of fiancée Iris West from the God of Speed known as Savitar. Barry’s victory was short-lived, however, as an unbalanced Speed Force began to wreak havoc on Central City, forcing Barry to sacrifice himself for the greater good. With The Fastest Man Alive now trapped inside an extra-dimensional energy, and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, it will be up to Team Flash to free Barry from his own personal Hell.
The Flash season 4 will premiere on Tuesday, October 10 at 8:00 PM ET on The CW.
7 Green Lantern Stories We’d Love To See Adapted For The Big…
There were no major Green Lantern characters in Justice League, but the hero is eventually set to hit the big screen again in 2020 with Green Lantern Corps. The real mystery is what kind of Lantern stories will the movie have and who will wield a ring? The only thing I know is it’s not a good idea to wait for Ryan “Deadpool” Reynolds to mutter the Green Lantern oath on the big screen anytime soon.
There are so many stories and unique Green Lanterns the movie could draw from, so at the end of the day I hope the material is treated with the respect it deserves. It took some hard work, but I whittled my favorite stories down to this list of seven easily adaptable arc that show off some of the action and emotion Green Lantern has to offer. Don’t expect to recommend any simple origin stories here, though — man-oh-man am I tired of seeing those.
