John Wick Keanu Reeves Dwayne Johnson Hobbs & Shaw

It seems that Keanu Reeves isn’t quite done with the John Wick franchise as a fourth film is in development with a hard set release date.

The film currently does not have a title but a fourth John Wick film is confirmed to be in the works. The film is set to be released on May 21st, 2021. No further details on the upcoming film, however, have been announced.

The first John Wick film, as we all know, was one of its year’s most unexpected hits, earning over $88M on a $20M budget, was met positively by critics and reminded us all why we like to see Keanu Reeves on film. The second film, John Wick: Chapter 2 earned more critical acclaim and grossed over $170M during its theatrical runtime. And it seems that Keanu Reeves isn’t quite done with the franchise.

The third film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, has, as of this writing, earned over $93M worldwide, knocking Avengers: Endgame out of its top spot in its opening weekend alone. And from the look of things, its producers are determined to keep that international assassin money coming!

What do you all make of this news? Would you like to see Keanu Reeves in a fourth John Wick film? Can they keep the momentum of the franchise up? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Directed by Chad Stahelski, John Wick: Chapter 3 stars Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jason Mantzoukas, Anjelica Huston, and Boban Marjanovic. Here’s the official synopsis:

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

John Wick: Chapter 3 is now in theaters everywhere. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the John Wick franchise as we learn it.
