21st Century Fox is being pulled in many different directions right now. Of course, thereโs the ongoing acquisition process by the House of Mouse as Disney absorbs most of its assets, thereโs the business as usual going on at Fox until someone higher up says different, and then thereโs the matter of how the company deals with how it will proceed with Sky overseas.
Until then, Fox is still in the middle of shuffling things and positions around. One of the most recent examples includes a promotion. Viet D. Dinh, who recently stepped down as an independent director on 21st Century Foxโs board, has been appointed the Chief Legal and Policy Officer of the โNew Foxโ that will still be controlled by the Murdochs when the Disney business is all said and done.
With this responsibility, Dinh will report to Lachlan Murdoch. Heโll be responsible for all things regulatory, legal, and compliance, as well as government affairs. And when it seems that the Disney deal may be winding down, heโll play a key role in helping set up the new company. Murdoch praised Dinhโs experience at Fox and noted his new role moving forward:
โHe will be a key member of our senior management team as well as a valued advisor to me, our chief operating officer John Nallen, and the rest of the team. I look forward to working closely with Viet as we โstand upโ Fox and chart a growth path for our dynamic and iconic news and live sports businesses.โ
Stay tuned for more development on the future of Fox as this news continues to unravel.
