Funko’s ‘The Flash’ Movie Collection Spoils ‘Justice League’ Cameo

Henry Cavill Superman Gal Gadot Wonder Woman The Flash

Funko, the popular collectible toy company, has revealed its new line of Pops figures for the upcoming DC Universe movie The Flash. However, it seems that the line may have spoiled a “surprise” cameo appearance from a Justice League character.

Revealed in Funko’s The Flash movie collection is the iconic DC Comics heroine Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Gadot, holding her lasso of truth in preparation for her appearance in the movie. According to reports, Warner Bros. has cut a Wonder Woman scene from the end of the movie, but fans can still expect to see her in another sequence earlier on, seemingly before Barry Allen alters the timeline.

The Funko Pops! collection also includes figures for Barry Allen and his love interest Iris West, as well as Batman (the Michael Keaton version) and General Zod. There is also a figure of Batman using the Batwing, which suggests that the Caped Crusader will be a major player in the movie.

Despite the potential spoilers, fans are sure to be thrilled with the new information about The Flash. The Ezra Miller starrer promises to be a game-changer for the DC Universe, bringing together multiple versions of beloved characters in a multiversal adventure.

The Flash’s DC Universe future

Warner Bros. Discovery already has a script for a potential sequel to The Flash, written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the man behind the two Aquaman movies starring Jason Momoa. However, James Gunn and Peter Safran did not discuss the Flash sequel during their DC Universe presentation.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.

In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.

The Flash hits theaters on June 16, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
