The numerous positive reactions from critics over Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 has given the sequel a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With Wonder Woman 1984 heading to HBO Max and theaters later this month, reviews aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes has revealed that the sequel has been Certified Fresh by the first wave of reviews from critics. The decision to release the Gal Gadot film on HBO Max came because Warner Bros. were worried that it would get stale if it was pushed yet again into 2021. But with the imminent arrival of the film, the majority of critics promise an adventure to be excited about over the holidays.
Heroic Hollywood’s own Nathaniel Brail thought Wonder Woman 1984 provides a much needed dose of hope in 2020, but that it does have some issues towards the finale. The Twitter account for the sequel used an action-packed clip featuring both Gal Gadot and Chris Pine taking on a military convoy to celebrate the Certified Fresh news, take a look below.

Full details on Wonder Woman 1984′s plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord. Wonder Woman was last seen in Zack Snyder’s DC superhero team-up movie Justice League.
Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
