Even celebrities have to deal with the occasional break-in as Gambit hopefull, Channing Tatum had to file a restraining order against a squatter.
The story regarding the restraining order is rather bizarre and unsettling. According to reports, a woman broke into Channing Tatum’s house and moved in with her belongings and lived in the house for ten days before someone realized she was living there. Apparently one of Channing Tatum’s assistants discovered her living in the house and promptly called the police. The woman apparently tried to contact the Gambit hopeful before and is not believed to be in her right mind.
Channing Tatum has since filed and was granted a restraining order on the squatter that covers himself, his daughter and ex-wife. It was not granted, however, to Channing Tatum’s two assistants. According to the restraining order, the squatter is not allowed within a hundred yards of the three nor is she allowed to contact them.
Channing Tatum is, of course, known for a number of film roles but is also known for one that never came to life. The actor was originally set to play Gambit in the X-Men films but the part kept being pushed back for a number of reasons. Originally, Channing Tatum was supposed to appear as Gambit for X-Men: Apocolypse before the character was removed in script rewrites. Channing Tatum was then supposed to get his own solo film as Gambit but went through a number of production problems and released date pushbacks. The Gambit film was last slated to be released on 3/13/2020 before Disney removed it from its release schedule altogether.
It is currently unknown if Disney and Marvel plan on putting Channing Tatum in a Gambit centered film in the future.
