‘Game of Thrones’ Producers Promise Final Season Trailer Is Coming Soon

Game of Thrones Season 8 Full Trailer Super Bowl

The folks behind Game of Thrones have assured fans that, after all the teasers released thus far, a full trailer for the HBO fantasy series is coming soon.

On the heels of the Season 8 teaser, airing ahead of the season premiere of True Detective, revealing the final season air date, Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss have assured fans that they will get a longer length trailer.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the two admitted that while Game of Thrones is big enough that they could probably get away with not showing anything, they did promise that they will reveal a trailer for the final season and not just leave people in the dark:

“We won’t though. Because then we went and saw Ready Player One with our kids and they played the Westworld trailer and it looked great. And we’re like, ‘Ah, we should do that.'”

Indeed, since Game of Thrones is such a massive phenomenon, combined with there being no new season at all in 2018, fans are eager to see how the fantasy series comes to a close. So they probably would not mind going in completely blind, but the producers would not do that, per their word.

What do you think, though? When do you believe we will get a full fledged trailer for Game of Thrones? And what do you hope to see in the trailer for the final season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Game of Thrones currently stars Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Liam Cunningham, Alfie Allen, Nathalie Emmanuel, Iain Glen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Joe Dempsie, Rory McCann, Jerome Flynn, Carice van Houten, Ben Crompton, Daniel Portman, and Richard Dormer.

The eighth and final season will premiere on April 14, 2019 on HBO.
