Gary Oldman “Intrigued” To See J. K. Simmons As Commissioner Gordon

'The Dark Knight' trilogy star Gary Oldman comments on J. K. Simmons assuming the role of Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder's 'Justice League'.

Gary Oldman has portrayed a number of fan-favorite roles throughout his career with one of the most memorable being Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Now, Academy Award winning actor J. K. Simmons will portray an entirely new version of the classic DC Comics character when he assumes the role of Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. During an interview with ComicBook.com at CinemaCon, Oldman discussed his excitement over seeing Simmons’ take on Commissioner Gordon.

Gary Oldman praised Simmons’ when asked if he offered any advice to his successor.

“J.K Simmons doesn’t need any advice from me. He’s a wonderful actor. I’m intrigued to see what he does with it. I’m looking forward to it. Gordon was very good to me so I wish him a lot of luck. I’m excited for him.”
