A number of Glee veterans have found a second home in The CW’s Arrowverse, and today we can add a new cast member to the list: Actor Max Adler, who played David Karofsky in 29 episodes of FOX’s hit musical drama, is set to square off against his former castmate Grant Gustin in an episode of The Flash.
Adler will be joining Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, Darren Criss, and Blake Jenner as former Glee stars that have crossed over to the CW’s superhero stable. Gustin and Benoist lead their respective shows in The Flash and Supergirl, of course, while Darren Criss popped up as the Music Meister during last year’s musical crossover. Blake Jenner played the character Adam Foster in two episodes of Supergirl.
Adler will be playing Jaco Birch, “an obsessive music fanatic who worships at the altar of classic heavy metal.” The character is also described as having an obession with fire, which will immediately call to mind Mick Rory/Heat Wave, the Arrowverse’s current flame-weilding bad guy played by Dominic Purcell. There’s no indication yet on how, or if, the characters will be related in any way. The episode is set to air in March.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash.
The Flash Season 4 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
