An annual toy fair in Hong Kong seemingly spoiled an appearance by Mechagodzilla and revealed King Kong’s new look in Godzilla vs. Kong.
After appearing in new standalone films set in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, The King of the Monsters and King Kong will finally come face to face in Godzilla vs. Kong. However, it appears the two beasts will also be forced to confront Mechagodzilla, as a toy of the character was included with figures of Godzilla and King Kong at an annual toy fair in Hong Kong.
The toys also revealed what appears to be a new look for King Kong, who is now equal in size to Godzilla and can be seen donning what appears to armor while wielding a massive club. The Godzilla toy can also be seen wearing what appears to be red armor on his back that also covers his plates. While it may not be significant to the story for Godzilla vs. Kong, the display features the King of the Monsters and Mechagodzilla confronting each other while King Kong watches.
