In an age where superhero films and television shows are more popular than ever, few things excite fans more than seeing their favorite heroes come together in a crossover event. Of course, while the heroes and villains of FOX’s Gotham will likely never venture into the CW’s Arrowverse, actor David Mazouz recently shared his own idea for a potential crossover between both worlds during an interview with ComicBook.com.
Specifying that the Arrowverse heroes would have to visit Gotham because time travel has yet to be introduced on the FOX series, Mazouz – who stars as young Bruce Wayne – proposed a storyline similar to the Flashpoint arc featured in the comics:
“The Flash kind of had their run-in with Flashpoint a couple of seasons ago. Maybe there could be another kind of Flashpoint where Flash runs back in time and goes to Gotham and maybe tries to stop Bruce Wayne’s parents’ murder from happening. Maybe not the traditional ‘Bruce Wayne gets murdered instead and Thomas becomes Batman thing,’ but something along those lines where the whole world gets whack and it’s up to Flash to fix things in Gotham.”

Gotham’s origin story continues to unfold, and as the show enters its fourth season, the stakes will be higher than ever! With the Court of Owls decimated, the aftermath of the Tetch virus crippling the city, and every (surviving) villain in Gotham’s underworld jockeying for power, Jim Gordon and the GCPD will have their hands full. And that’s just the beginning! What threat does Ra’s al Ghul pose, and will Penguin regain his title as the King of Gotham? What new villains are in store for season four, and what does Bruce Wayne’s season finale reveal mean for Gotham City — and his ultimate destiny?
Gotham returns next spring on FOX.
