Grant Gustin Shares His Support For Ezra Miller As The DCEU’s Flash

The Flash star Grant Gustin has taken to Instagram to share his support for Ezra Miller as the silver screen version of the Scarlett Speedster in the DCEU.

Miller was announced to make his debut as The Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice only a week after the CW series premiered. While comparisons between the actors are unavoidable, the actors themselves have offered their support for one another. Miller has previously praised the television series and Grant Gustin recently commented on an Instagram post which featured his image side by side with an image of Miller. The CW star praised Miller’s talent and expressed his excitement to see the actor take on the role of Barry Allen.

When the planned standalone feature film The Flash will come to fruition remains a mystery as the project has stalled since director Rick Famuyiwa exited the Warner Bros. production but it was revealed that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller who originally developed the treatment for the project met with DC Films about directing The Flash during the production hiatus of the Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story on the day the news broke that they were fired from the Star Wars spinoff. But fans can see Miller on the big screen as the fastest man alive when Justice League opens in theaters this fall.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Julian Lewis Jones, and Willem Dafoe are also set to appear. Here’s the official synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
