Groot Takes A Ride On Eitri In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Concept Art

Eitri Avengers Infinity War Groot

Just a little under a week ago, John Staub, a concept artist and illustrator at Marvel Studios, released some concept art of Peter Dinklage’s Eitri receiving new limbs from Groot in Avengers: Infinity War. While that didn’t come to pass, Staub also released some more art just yesterday that serves as a continuation of the key frame in his previous post.

On his Instagram page, John Staub shared a photo yesterday of other ideas he originally explored in regards to Infinity War. In particular, the idea of Groot riding Eitri like a backpack while he helped Eitri with his work. Given that Groot would’ve been the source of Eitri’s new limbs, it makes sense that Groot would need to give Eitri some extra assistance. At the very least help him get accustomed to his new limbs. Not to mention that Groot controls the new arms in the first place.

As such, Groot and Eitri would probably have engaged in some banter, according to Staub. Given the tone of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, banter is probably a given. But here, take a look at Groot taking a ride on Eitri in the Infinity War concept art below.

Again, as this did not come to pass and since Thor already has Stormbreaker, even though it didn’t do him any good in the end since he didn’t aim for the head, do you think that Thor could pay Eitri another visit? Not so much Groot since he was one of Thanos’ snap victims, but do you think that Eitri could play another role in Avengers 4? Would you want to see him again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
