Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios confirms that Miley Cyrus has a secret role in James Gunn's film, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'.

Given James Gunn’s passion for the comics as well as his unique directorial style, we are going to see plenty of colorful characters that will further expand the galaxy. Interestingly enough, one of the most unexpected performers to lend their talents to the upcoming film is pop star Miley Cyrus.

During an interview alongside James Gunn, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios confirmed Cyrus’ secret role to reporter Sarah Ruhlman.

Guardians

During one of the five end credits sequences, we see an appearance from Mainframe. This character was featured in the original line-up of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics. Mainframe is the 31st century version of the Vision, who is portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films by Paul Bettany. Feige confirmed that Mainframe is voiced by Cyrus.

Gunn recently announced that he will be returning to the director’s chair for a third Guardians of the Galaxy film. Whether or not Mainframe or the rest of the announced end credits sequences will play a factor in the third film is up for speculation.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters on May 5, 2017.
