I couldn’t make this up if I wanted to. Yes, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, will feature 5 post-credit scenes. Not 1, not 2, but 5. This comes straight from early screenings which happened earlier today; the movie – like most MCU films – is off to a pretty good start. Most critics seem to agree that Vol. 2 is good, but not great. The general gist is this; if you liked the first one, you’ll probably like this one.
While Marvel Studios did not create the post-credit scene, they certainly made them cool again. Since 2008’s Iron Man, the MCU has pride itself on including some little sequences in-between their credits; as a thank you to fans. The James Gunn-directed, Vol. 2, has gone to extreme measures it seems. The film will feature 5 post-credit scenes. Screenrant reports:
“Three of the button tags are mid-credits bonus scenes – and just like Gunn promised, they’re mostly for fun and laughs – and there’s an additional one at the very end too. At least two of the four sort of set up important and cool things for the future so if there’s ever been a time to sit through the credits of a feature in cinemas, this is it.”
UPDATE: Gunn just revealed that the film is actually going to have 5 post-credits scenes. You can check out his tweet below.
@screenrant Well, five, actually. 😊

So, that is pretty cool. Honestly, I have no idea how this will play out. The thought of having to sit through 5 post-credit scenes is super off-putting, but I assume some of them will play alongside the rolling credits; something we have seen with quite a few motion pictures. Of course, we will not know how any of this will unfold until the film hits theatres everywhere on May 5th, 2017. Are you excited for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2?
2017 Summer Movie Preview: What To Look Out For
What do aliens, robots, superheroes, pirates, genetically-modified apes, and Will Ferrell all have in common? All of them will be visiting theaters this summer, most as perennials of the blockbusters sphere. There’s a cavalcade of riches this summer, with new offerings from both DC and Marvel, new (and in some cases, final) installments in long-running franchises, and a couple newcomers testing the waters for future sequels. Even some non-theatrical films get in on the fun, like Netflix’s War Machine starring Brad Pitt.
