‘Guardians of the Galaxy’: Gunn Will Reveal Easter Egg On His Deathbed

Fans have been patiently waiting for James Gunn to reveal the still hidden easter egg from the original Guardians film, but he refuses to do so.

When Guardians of the Galaxy was released in 2014, fans found a plethora of easter eggs in the film which rewarded repeat viewings. However, the director of the film, James Gunn, revealed that there was still one easter egg that no one had found yet. Fans desperately tried to find it and ask Gunn, but alas, his lips were sealed.

With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this weekend, a fan tweeting at Gunn was wondering if he would ever reveal the easter egg from the original film. Unlucky for us, his answer was a simple no… kind of. You can check out the tweet below.

In the tweet, Gunn did make note that someone did come close to finding the easter egg, whatever it was. At this point, the world may never know what the easter egg is apart from Gunn.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
