Empire Magazine has given Marvel fans a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with the release of two brand new images. The first image features Star-Lord, Drax, and Nebula in their new suits, ready for action, while the second image showcases Adam Warlock alongside Ayesha.
In the first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 image, we see Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Dave Bautista’s Drax and Karen Gillan’s Nebula sporting new suits, which suggest that the team will be embarking on a new adventure. The trio is seen standing in a line, looking fierce and ready to take on any challenge that comes their way.
The second Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 image features Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock alongside Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha. Adam Warlock is a new addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and is expected to play a significant role in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
In addition to the two images from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Empire Magazine has also revealed the cover for its latest issue, featuring the titular team. The cover shows the Guardians of the Galaxy standing tall and ready for action, with Gamora standing by their side.
One confirmed aspect of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the return of James Gunn as writer and director. Gunn was originally set to direct the film after the success of the first two Guardians flicks, but was temporarily removed from the project due to controversial tweets that resurfaced from his past. However, after a public outcry from the Guardians cast and fans, Gunn was reinstated on the film. Vol. 3 is his last Marvel movie due to his commitments to DC Studios.
What to expect from the third Guadians movie
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 synopsis reads as follows: “Our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere, but it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life – a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
