New stills from Disney Plus’ Hawkeye give us a brand new look at Hailee Steinfeld’s ace archer Kate Bishop.

One of the most unexpectedly exciting projects coming out of Disney Plus’ Marvel Cinematic Universe roster is the Hawkeye series, which sees Jeremy Renner returning as the jaded but still humorous archer. Set in New York during Christmas, the series sees his Clint Barton being whisked away on an adventure by the amateur but deadly Kate Bishop, who idolizes the retired Avenger.

Hailee Steinfeld, most well-known for her appearances in the Pitch Perfect films, stars as Kate Bishop. Not much is known about this iteration of the character other than her readiness to learn from her hero and idol. With the series debuting less than a month away, Disney has released two new stills of Steinfeld’s Bishop.

Both stills focus on Kate Bishop and her bow. Hopefully, the Disney Plus series expands upon the relationship an archer has with their bow kit, something the Iron Man trilogy did exceptionally well with; pointing out how Tony could only be himself with the suit on. Though Clint Barton’s family is a highlight of the MCU, his character is admittedly paper-thin throughout the series. Here’s hoping we learn more about him through his relationship with Kate Bishop.

Here is the synopsis for Hawkeye:

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.

Hawkeye is set to premiere with two episodes on November 24, exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding the future of the MCU, including Echo, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
